Dear Neighbours,
We missed seeing each other for the past two years and we are looking forward to our gathering at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday August 21, 2022. As President I remain dedicated to work with my team of directors, volunteers, and you in preserving our beautiful lake. Our goal is to promote the protection, conservation, and the enhancement of the natural environment of Lac des Iles.
We modernized ALIE’s website to help you stay connected! It has the latest news and updates. Visit http://www.associationlacdesiles.org/. We also have our own Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/associationlacdesiles. “Like” our page and share the love of Lac des Îles! Post any interesting animal sightings, lake stories and, of course, your latest pictures.
For the benefit of present and future lake residents, your committee welcomes your support by becoming a member or by renewing your membership with the Association for Lac des Iles’ Environment (A.L.I.E.). Membership dollars contribute to costs such as water testing, biological studies and several other lake activities such as maintaining floating marker buoys. Please share and encourage your neighbours and friends to renew their membership and help recruit new members to further strengthen our ability to preserve and protect our lake. The annual membership fee remains at $15.00 per person. Membership is valid from January 1st to December 31st of each year.
To become a member or renew your membership just click this link and remember to submit one form per member.
We encourage members to pay by e-transfer to infolacdesiles@gmail.com. If you prefer to pay by cheque or cash, you can do so at the AGM by arriving early or by mailing a cheque to: ALIE, c/o Manon Dugal, Secretary, 38 chemin B.-Fortin, Blue Sea, QC, J0X 1C0. Donations are always welcomed.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 10am to join us at our AGM at the Lac Long Hall (396 ch. du lac long). Sharing information is very important to us, and your input is valued. It’s a great opportunity to find out what the A.L.I.E.’s team has been up to this past year and what is planned for the future to protect the health of our lake. Topics will include:
- Water quality
- Annual financial report, e-transfer
- Control strategy and reserve fund
- Website, Facebook, communications and emails
Come and meet us and your neighbours for coffee, sweet treats, door prizes! Bring a friend: it’s free, interesting and it’s for you. Your support is much appreciated.
It’s a very rewarding experience to be part of this Association. It gives me the opportunity to work closely with the board members and members who are as passionate about the lake as I am; I am sure you are as well. Remember, we all have a part in ensuring our lake stays wonderful and healthy. We urge all of you to be safe and let’s continue to make this wonderful place of ours so special!
Sincerely,
Josée Pigeon Laplante
President A.L.I.E.
